2018 WPL All-Star Staff Confirmed

by | Jun 21, 2018

The 2018 WPL All-Star Match is fast approaching as the main fixture for Rugged Rugby Tour’s Denver stop July 28. The match, to be held as a part of a full day rugby experience at The University of Denver’s Pioneer Field, will be a clash of the titans between the best of the best from each conference of the WPL. This is the second year the WPL has held an All-Star event, but the first year it has been East Conference vs. West Conference. The All-Star squad (rosters to be released soon!) will be coached by an equally All-Star staff!

Atlanta Harlequins head coach Kittery Wagner-Ruiz (formerly head coach of the Glendale Merlins) will head up the West squad. Kitt is a world-class coach and retired Eagle who works with The Rugger’s Edge to help aspiring collegiate student-athletes reach their goals.

Heading up the East squad will be Rosalind Chou. Ros is currently the head coach for Life University’s Women’s Rugby team and was the 2016 USA Rugby Female Coach of the Year, all this while being an active player for the Atlanta Harlequins WPL team!

Rounding out the All-Star staff is Tiff Faaee who recently captained the Eagles in their historic top 4 finish in the 2017 Women’s Rugby World Cup. Tiff will be managing the team while lending her knowledge to the players.

A huge thank you is also owed to James English head coach of New York Rugby Club and a coach of the 2017 WPL All-Stars for his efforts behind the scenes this year!

Look for more updates about the WPL All-Stars rosters and other information soon!
